The 4.6L really shines in the high RPM's and the lower gear ratio get's you in the "power band" much quicker. It's not too bad on gas either, when I first got them in there I checked the mileage twice and it consistantly got 21mpg which isn't too shabby. Which the main difference b/w the 96 and 98 Cobra's is that the 98 has a DOHC engine and the 96 is a single. And might I mention they make it pull like a beast :) Dont go 4.30's. ...
